You can create and submit records for all the record types defined
in the schema from the Rational®
ClearQuest® Web
interface.
About this task
To create and submit a record:
Procedure
- On the Rational
ClearQuest Web toolbar, click
New Defect. To submit a non-default record type, click the arrow and select a
record type from the list.
Note: There is a separator line under the list of records types. Records that were previously opened
are listed here, with the last record opened appearing at the top of the list.
- In the record form for the record type, enter the values for the record. Labels associated with
mandatory fields and the tabs on which they appear are indicated by red text.
- Optional: Click on the Change View Mode
icon, and choose how to display the record by
selecting either List View or Tabbed View. If
List View is selected, the Customize List View option
is enabled. Click on the Change View Mode icon, and Customize List
View and add or remove items from the view.
- Click Save. If any mandatory fields are empty, an Error page opens.
What to do next
Note: You can also create a record from the Rational
ClearQuest Navigator tree section in the Navigation
pane. Right-click in the Navigation pane to display the pop-up menu and click New
Record.
