Deploying the BIRT server runtime on the WebSphere Application Server

Before you can run BIRT reports from the Report Launcher for Rational® ClearQuest®, you must install and configure the BIRT server runtime on the WebSphere® Application Server.

The Report Launcher for Rational ClearQuest builds the appropriate URL to invoke a BIRT report. However, the BIRT runtime that generates reports must be separately installed. This section provides instructions for acquiring the BIRT runtime and installing it on a WebSphere Application Server.

    This topic explains how to configure the BIRT Report Viewer with the Rational ClearQuest Reporting Driver for running ClearQuest reports. The required files for the Rational ClearQuest Reporting Driver are in the reports folder in the ClearQuest home directory.
  4. Verifying the BIRT deployment
    After installing and configuring BIRT to use the Rational ClearQuest Reporting Driver, verify the BIRT deployment and check the installed version.
  5. Customizing the BIRT report viewer
    The view settings for the BIRT report viewer in the Report Launcher for Rational ClearQuest web interface are determined by the generated URL for running and viewing reports. You can change the view settings by modifying the URL template in the Report Launcher for Rational ClearQuest configuration file.
