Configuring Microsoft Exchange Server for MAPI

Configure Microsoft Exchange Server to use with the MAPI mail transport.

Before you begin

The instructions assume that you are familiar with Microsoft Exchange Server administration.

Procedure

  1. Create a domain user account for Rational® ClearQuest® Web. Rational ClearQuest Web uses the email account that is created for this domain user to send email notifications. For example, create a user account named UserCQWeb in the domain MyDomain.
  2. In Microsoft Exchange, perform these tasks:
    1. Create an email account for the domain user account that you created for Rational ClearQuest Web. In this example, UserCQWeb.
    2. Create a mailbox alias for UserCQWeb. For example, UserCQWebAlias.
