You can import the query results into a Microsoft Excel
spreadsheet by using the query Web address. Only Microsoft Excel
2002 and 2003 are supported.

You cannot import dynamic queries.

you can import query results into Microsoft Excel using the query Web address. In Rational
ClearQuest, you can export query results directly
from Rational
ClearQuest to a text file or a Microsoft
Excel spreadsheet. See Exporting the contents of result sets.
To
import query results into Microsoft Excel:
Procedure
- Run the query. Create a bookmark for the Web address or
add it to your Favorites list.
- In Microsoft Excel, create a
new workbook.
- From the main menu, click .
- Paste the Web address for the query into the New
Web Query address bar and click Go. The Web address should resemble the following example, where dbset is
the name of your database set, contextid is
the name of your user database, and queryID is
your query ID.

- Click the arrows next to the sections of the result
set that you want to import. Clicking an arrow changes it to a green
check mark. When you are finished, click Import
- In the window that opens, determine where to put the imported
data and click OK.
What to do next
Microsoft Excel imports only
the records that appear on the result set page. To import more data,
increase the number of records on the result set page.
