Testing the import process

Before importing all data into a Rational® ClearQuest® database, test the entire import process on a subset of the data:

1. Create a test database.
2. Export a subset of the data to a Rational ClearQuest import file.
3. Run the Import wizard to import the data.
4. Work with the data in the Rational ClearQuest client to determine whether the import schema functions as expected.
5. Modify the import schema as necessary, and test the process again.
