Installing Rational ClearQuest Report Server for Crystal Reports

Install the Rational® ClearQuest® Report Server for Crystal Reports component with Installation Manager.

Before you begin

The Rational ClearQuest Report Server for Crystal Reports must be deployed on a server that has WebSphere® Application Server and IBM® HTTP Server version 8.5.x or 9.0.x installed and configured. For information about installing the WebSphere Application Server and IBM HTTP Server version 8.5.x or 9.0.x see the WebSphere Application Server documentation.

About this task

Rational ClearQuest Report Server for Crystal Reports is a server component that can be selected during Rational ClearQuest installation. It can also be installed as an add-on component after ClearQuest has been installed. During installation, the Installation Manager automatically deploys the Rational ClearQuest Report Server for Crystal Reports to the WebSphere Application Server profile that you chose during installation.

These instructions are for adding the Rational ClearQuest Report Server for Crystal Reports feature to an existing Rational ClearQuest installation. For information about installing this component during Rational ClearQuest installation, see Prerequisite planning for installing Rational ClearQuest. Close all Rational ClearQuest client applications before adding the feature.

Procedure

  1. Start the IBM Installation Manager.
  2. Click Modify to view the installed packagers.
  3. On the Modify Packages page, click the Rational ClearQuest SDLC package. Then, click Next.
  4. Select the translations to install. Then, click Next.
  5. In the list of installed packages, click the Rational ClearQuest check box.
  6. Click the arrow in front of the Rational ClearQuest entry, to view the components available in the package.
  7. Click the arrow in front of Server Components to view the available components that can be installed.
  8. Click the Report Server for Crystal Reports check box.
  9. Review the package and feature selected and clear the selection from anything that you do not want to install. Then, click Next.
  10. Specify the IBM HTTP Server configuration file location, or use the default settings. Then, click Next.
  11. Specify the WebSphere Application Server parameters, or use the default settings. Then, click Next.
  12. Click Modify to add the Rational ClearQuest Report Server for Crystal Reports.
  13. After the process completes, click Finish to close the Installation Manager.
