Prerequisites for smart card configuration

You must complete the following steps before you configure and enable smart card support.
  1. Obtain and understand your LDAP server registry settings.
  2. Obtain the LDAP user name of the WebSphere® Application Server administrative user.
  3. Configure secure access to Rational® ClearQuest® Web server. See Configuring secure connections.
  4. Obtain a signer certificate for your organization.
  5. Obtain client certificates for each user who requires smart card access.
