About designing and running reports
You can design and run reports to display Rational®
ClearQuest® data
in various formats.
The procedures and choices available to design and run reports vary depending on your Rational ClearQuest client.
The procedure to design and run traditional data-push reports
using the Crystal Reports runtime and the Crystal Reports Report Designer Component (RDC) is no
longer supported because the RDC component has been deprecated. To continue maintaining and
improving Crystal Reports data-push reports created with previous versions of Rational
ClearQuest, migrate these reports to the Crystal
Reports data-pull model. See About reporting capabilities when using the ClearQuest Web client.
Note: If you are able to obtain and install a copy of the RDC component from SAP, you
can continue using it to run Crystal Reports data-push reports in the Rational
ClearQuest environment. To edit existing report
formats and create new report formats, you must purchase and install the Report Designer Component
for Crystal Reports XI Release 2.
You create a data-push report by applying an existing query to an existing report format for the record type that you want to report on. You can also create a data-push report by using an existing query result set and a report format.
