Deleting field hooks

You can delete field hooks to change the behavior of fields.

Procedure

To delete a field hook:

  1. Start the Designer.
  2. In the Schema Repository Explorer view, expand the Record Types folder in your schema and then double-click on a record type. The record type editor opens.
  3. Click the Fields tab to view the Records Field grid.
  4. In the Record Fields grid, click the cell that contains the hook you want to delete and select NONE. (If the field type is REFERENCE or REFERENCE_LIST and the hook is a choice-list hook, select DEFAULT.)
  5. Click OK to confirm the deletion.

Results

After you delete a hook and check in the schema, you cannot restore the deleted hook. If the hook was stored in a previous version of the schema, you can open that version and copy the hook into any schema.
