Saving schema editing work
You can edit the same schema version in a series of editing sessions
without committing changes or incrementing the schema version number.
About this task
You can continue working on the same schema version the next time you log in. This feature is useful when you want to save your work in progress, but are not yet ready to commit the changes to the database.
To save your work in progress during a schema editing session:
Procedure
- Start the Designer.
- Click .
- Click .
Results
To reopen the schema and continue editing, open the Open Schema window. In the Open Schema window, click Open a schema for editing or continue editing previously saved work and select the schema version on which you previously worked. If you are logging in to the Designer, the Open Schema window opens.
