Mapping state types

If a package includes any state types, you must map the states in your schema to the state types in the package being applied.

To map state types:

Procedure

  1. Start the Designer.
  2. When a package that uses state types is applied to a schema, click Package > Setting State Types. The Package Wizard Setup State Types window opens. Select a record type.
  3. For each state in the package, click the State Type field and select the appropriate state type from the existing schema to map to this state.
  4. If more than one record type is listed in the Record Type field, select each additional record type and then map the state types in the existing schema to the states in the package associated with that record type.
  5. Click Finish.
  6. Click File > Validate to validate the modified schema.
