Deleting record scripts

You can delete record scripts for a record type, unless actions are associated with the script.

Before you begin

Modify any actions that are associated with a record script before trying to delete the script.

About this task

To delete a record script:

Procedure

Start the Designer.
In the Workspace, expand Record Types and expand the desired record type.
Expand the Record Scripts folder until you see the record script to delete.
Right-click the record script to delete and click Delete.
Click Yes to confirm that you want to delete the script.

Results

If actions are using a record script that you are trying to delete, you get a warning. The delete operation fails if actions are associated with the script.
