Supported BIRT versions for Rational ClearQuest

Describes the versions of the Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools (BIRT) that can be used to create and deploy reports that use the Rational® ClearQuest® Reporting Driver.

BIRT server runtime environment version support based on server configuration

To create and deploy BIRT reports that are used with the Rational ClearQuest Reporting Driver, you must have the correct version of the BIRT Report Designer and BIRT server runtime environment installed and configured. You must also use a version of BIRT server runtime environment that is certified for use with the ClearQuest Reporting Driver in the reporting environment that you are using.

To create and edit reports, be sure to use the correct version of the BIRT Report Designer for the target runtime environment.

For compatibility, the BIRT server runtime environment must be greater than or equal to the version of the BIRT Report Designer used to create or modify hosted reports.

Table 1 lists the supported BIRT server runtime environment based on server configuration:

Report Launcher for Rational ClearQuest (all versions)	3.7*	For the Preferred scripted deployment method , see the technical note 1960057. The *preferred certified runtime means that if you are using BIRT version 4.x, the server runtime environment with the Rational ClearQuest Reporting Driver, the configuration instructions are different than they are for earlier versions of BIRT. Rational Team Concert™ 2.x	2.3.2.2	The Rational Team Concert Server is preconfigured with the BIRT runtime environment. Rational Team Concert 3.x	2.5.2	The Rational Team Concert server is preconfigured with BIRT.
