Restart MultiSite synchronization and Rational Shipping Servers

About this task

If you have a MultiSite configuration, you must restart and verify all synchronization servers and Rational® ClearQuest® Shipping Servers in your configuration. Then the sites can synchronize their databases periodically.

Procedure

  1. To restart and verify the synchronization servers and Rational Shipping Servers, on each synchronization server, start the jobs that run the multiutil syncreplica -export and the multiutil syncreplica -import commands.
  2. If you are using the DevOps Shipping Server software, start it on each DevOps Shipping Server system.
  3. Export packets from one MultiSite site and import them to another site by using the DevOps Shipping Server. Verify that changes from the source site are available on the destination site.
