Upgrade the environment at one time

Complete upgrade tasks for all client, server, and database components,
To upgrade your environment at one time:
  1. Stop Rational® ClearQuest® operations.
  2. (Optional) Upgrade vendor databases.
  3. Upgrade all servers to the target version, including the Rational ClearQuest MultiSite synchronization servers, web servers, and the Rational Shipping Server.
  4. Upgrade all clients to the same version installed on the servers.
  5. Raise the feature level for Rational ClearQuest schema repositories and user databases to the recommended level.
  6. Implement new features and upgrade packages to the targeted version.
  7. Resume operations.
