Administration tools
Administrators of the change request environment use various
tools for managing schemas and databases and for administering users.
The following tools are available:
- Rational®
ClearQuest® Designer
- for viewing and editing schemas
- A multi-tabbed editor so that all information for a record is available in one editor
- Perl syntax highlighting and error checking
- Error visualization upon schema validation
- The ability to view the history of all schema revisions
- Structural comparison of schema versions
- Filtering mechanism to filter out unwanted schema elements from the workspace
- Rational ClearQuest Maintenance tool for creating and managing schema repositories, user databases, and database connections
- Rational ClearQuest Export tool for exporting data from a user database to an external file
- Rational ClearQuest Import tool for importing data from an external file to a user database
- Rational ClearQuest User administration tool for setting up and administering users and user groups
- Rational ClearQuest Full-Text Search Administrator tool for setting up, configuring, and administering the full text search feature
- Rational ClearQuest E-Mail reader tool for enabling users to submit and modify change requests by e-mail from a supported e-mail server
