Creating iteration labels

About this task

The DevOps Code ClearCase® ALM process assumes that your team uses an iterative development process where you include multiple iterations in the schedule. The team designs, constructs, and tests a working version of the project for each iteration. You need to create labels to identify the iterations in your development schedule.

The ALMIterationLabel record gives a name for an iteration of development work. The labels can be a set of numbers. You can specify a numbering convention to improve sorting, such as 01, 02, 03, ... , 10, 11, or I01, I02, ..., I10. The Name field is mandatory.

Procedure

  1. In the DevOps Code ClearCase client, click File > New > ALMIterationLabel.
  2. Enter a name for the iteration label in the Name field. Enter a description of the iteration label in the Description field.
  3. Click OK.
