Workspace folder permissions overview

Rational® ClearQuest® uses a role-based access control (RBAC) model for enforcing workspace folder permissions. The workspace folder permissions feature requires that your schema repository and user databases are at feature level 6 or later.

Introduction to workspace folder permissions
Workspace folder permissions provide a high level of control over the visibility and modification of the Public Queries folder in the Rational ClearQuest workspace. This is done by allowing Security Administrators and Public Folder Administrators to assign specific permissions to user groups on specific folders.
Developing workspace folder permission policies
When you develop workspace folder permission policies for a Rational ClearQuest environment, the most important considerations are who has authority to set policies for the entire installation; who can set and change permissions on individual folders; and what levels of access to set on different folders for different groups of users.
